Had a reservation for 515pm and the counter was unattended. A desk phone is provided with the impression that someone will pick up the phone, unfortunately this is not the case. Service is very disappointing, I wouldn't rate Hertz Rotorua Airport and if I could place this review without a star I would give them no stars at all. Now we are trying to organise a taxi to ouraccommodation

This place is an absolute godsend. We came in to the airport extremely upset because another company had completely messed up our service. Hamish the manager went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us and we were both talking about how amazing he was days after we left. I've definitely found my company of choice and will never hire from anyone else again.

I had a problem with the tire (after hitting a curb) on a car I had rented from Hertz in Auckland. We arrived in Rotorua late on a Saturday. I called Hertz Rotorua and was helped by Maria. She gave me the option to replace/repair the tire myself or exchange the car and pay for the tire. Since the next day was Sunday, I opted to pay for the tire and exchange the car. When I got to the airport Hertz counter, Maria was busy helping three people at the same time, but she was able to get me another car and get me on my way quickly. This kind of mishap can ruin a trip, but thanks to Maria, it was no big deal.

Hertz is indicated to be open until 7:30. They closed before our transfer arrived. They left us out to dry. Terrible customer service. It ruined our activities for the next day because of their lies where they had indicated earlier in the day that they would be on site for our arrival. We arrived at the indicated time from our phone call.
