Te Apiti Wind Farm
If you've never seen a wind turbine up close, this is the perfect spot. There's an area dedicated around one and there are plenty of parking space available. You can also see other wind turbines from this vantage point, so this is an excellent spot.The roads to here is quite windy and full of trucks, so be vigilant.

I love the idea of the Ecoflow but my River Max died a few months after purchase. It's now back at the supplier for evaluation. The irony of my backup power supply breaking down is not lost on me.

Such a great sight to see when traveling between Rotorua and taupo. And a secret location to hahha. Locals may know. Great small rest stop and viewing area .

Really nice spot to get some views of the ocean and Cook Strait. On a clear day we made out Kapiti Island from the car park and if you went walking you could see the Cook Strait and South Island. Country side is very nice, with the rolling hills. The wind turbines also make this worth the trip if that interests you. You can get very close to one. Will definitely be back

Roads are poorly maintained. Do not attempt unless you have a vehicle meant for going off road.
