The staff and the welcome are professional but above all human, so you feel at ease straight away! All they want is for their customers to be happy, and that makes all the difference.A magnificent place, clean rooms, waterfall, river, forest and all for very little money.I can only recommend it

A place with stunning views of the waterfall and river. Our apartment was clean & comfortable with everything you'd expect, including a swimming pool. The staff were friendly & helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. In the park grounds there's a private beach to sunbath and enjoy kayaking. All in all a great holiday - 5 stars!

Amazing night camping at the Falls in our campervan. Micheal was unbelievably friendly, helpful and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The location is pristine and the facilities were just what we needed. 10/10 recommend!

This was one of our favourite campground in New Zealand. The owner, Michael, is one of the nicest people we've met. He genuinely wanted to just see us have a good time, helping organise a boat trip, ensuring we had the best pitch available to us and explaining passionately about the amazing history associated with the area. He even gave me use of a Kayak for free as we were staying for 3 nights, meaning I could go right out and under the waterfall. Would thoroughly recommend.

Didn’t stay here but we did get to hire their kayaks! I loved it and it was only $15 per kayak. Would 100% recommend it :D

New owners are great. They have good ideas for the place and really passionate about the area. Not many places in the world where you can camp under a waterfall. Worries me writing this review as it might get harder to book a site.

went fishing mostly day at the motel just walking distance to the camp ground where the fishing wharf close by called Ha ruru waterfall. Just the thing when you fishing be careful to tree branches over head when throw fishing rod.

GREAT CAMPSITE. stayed three nights in wet May 2023. Michael is a great host. Campsite on waters edge facing falls. Loved it. Hot showers, great kitchen, best wifi. HIGHLY RECO.
