Queen Elizabeth Park
We discovered Queen's Elizabeth Park by accident in Masterton. There is a small vintage train rides for $2 a ride. There are other facilities for kids like playground and stuff. There are eels in the creek and ducks too. We did not explore all of the park but walked around. There is toilet and bathroom facilities available.

Fantastic park. Has everything a kid would need. A great wooden Castle play area, paddle boats, ride on train, it's amazing. There is also a nice flower garden to look at to and a Mini put course.

This is one of the best parks in the lower north island. The adventure playground is big and varied, the flying fox is fun for everyone, miniature golf in the weekends, a large pond with a wide array of wildlife (bring defrosted peas to feed them!), and just the best miniature train rides most weekends! The place is massive and just as fun for grown ups to explore as it is for the kids. The toilets are modern and easily accessed, but need more regular attention, they get to be a bit grubby over the course of a day but they always seem to have soap, so that's good.

Park is nice and clean not overly exciting for my 2 older boys, they were more interested in climbing the trees there is a little lake with Ducks and eels and you can hire paddle boats to go in we traveled from tawa to this park it was very average we only stayed for about an hour before the kids wanted to leave

Lots to do and look at. Great playground for the kids. Beautiful gardens and lake. There is a miniature train that runs on the island, there is Mimi golf and you can hire boats (not sure of operating hours for these). Skate park, swing bridge, deer park and you can wander through the old cemetery for a look

Lot of history. Just great to stop and watch the clouds. There is so much to see. Paddle boats for families. Rode the little train. Skate park was humming with activity. Families with picnics. Sidewalk for bicycles.

Since arriving in Masterton, visiting the park daily has become a habit. The lake is always a good sight with the ducks and the swans fleeting around. It is also good to have a feed in one of the tables while enjoying the scenery. On a busy day, paddle boats swarmed the park with families on it. The mini train is also a regular during this time.

Always enjoy wandering through Queen Elizabeth Park and around the lake. The grandchildren love the playground! The garden with all the Swan plants where there were so many caterpillars, chrysalis and Monach Butterflies was fantastic this year 2023!
