FACILITIES are in good condition but the layout for the changing rooms is poor if you have a baby and are the only adult with them. There are no baby changing tables with a security belt in the main changing rooms (there is a large bay of change mats opposite the pool) so there isn't a safe place to secure them from rolling off while you change yourself. This layout only works if you have 2 adults, so one cares for baby while the other can get dry and dressed.INSTRUCTORS are pretty good and lessons are fun but teaching methods can be a bit inconsistent across teachers. Not a big deal but just something to be aware of. However, particularly the younger ones are very inconsiderate when off duty. They often sit on the walls so their feet would be where the parents heads would be if you want to sit on the benches, and they block off this space often by spreading out (putting their legs up etc).RECEPTION STAFF are most of the time quite rude and hard to get hold of. I've phoned 7 different times and they've only picked up once. They almost never greet anyone when they come it, they've got their heads down looking at the computer screen and can be hard to get them to answer you. It really doesn't take much to look up for a second and say hello to people as they come in.BOOKINGS you only get 1 make up for sickness a month (as they'll curtly remind you is part of their t&C's with no compassion) so, particularly if you have a baby or very young child you may miss far more than that especially in winter so the price per lesson rockets up. Even without that fact they are one of the most expensive swimming lesson businesses which after the above mentioned negatives doesn't make it worth it.PARKING is not enough at peak times as the classes are not staggered so allow another 10mins or so to park somewhere else and walk.

Couldn't take my kids to lessons over lockdown last year. Many weeks went by and assumed we'd get a reimbursement (even a small amount would have helped) as government was helping business owners out. Owner flatly refused and even guilt tripped by saying they continued to support their kids six or seven extra curricular activities. I explained that we were struggling financially and could only afford one extra curricular activity. I was offered complementary lessons the next term. Went to book next term and a substantial booking fee (that wasn't added last time) had suddenly appeared? Even though I was an existing customer. Realised I was having the mickey taken out of me, so I rebooked at a school in Papamoa. It was cheaper, the people are kinder and the kids are doing so much better now. I'm now out of pocket by a full term but it's worth it.

SwimTastic
Best swimming school in Auckland! All instructors are so nice and professional, especially James B! My son is extremely cautious in water and needs lots encouragement. We can see his big process with James’s professional and patient guidance. Definitely will highly recommend SwimTastic to all my friends!

Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre
The Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre is a great play you or the children to learn how to swim. The centre is situated in the Sacred Heart College grounds with ample parking. There is quite often events on the fields like today's obstacle course which cater for ages 5 to 10. Lots of fun for the family.

Ohakune Hot Tubs
Ideal place for a soak and relax. Although you get a private hot tub, you can hear others nearby, however you might have a quiet night depending on time and how many people are there. We had a cloudy night but I can imagine seeing the stars would be awesome. Clean hot tubs and bathrooms.

Te Awamutu Livingstone Aquatic Centre
Such a great spot. Hardly anyone here in Jan 2 so our kids had a blast in the pool. Hydro slide was running and they loved it. Pools were a little colder than usual but we knew this as their website and Facebook page explained it.Helpful staff and tidy facilities
