Ideal place for a soak and relax. Although you get a private hot tub, you can hear others nearby, however you might have a quiet night depending on time and how many people are there. We had a cloudy night but I can imagine seeing the stars would be awesome. Clean hot tubs and bathrooms.

Oh so impressed with this set up! Gave me south island vibes. Such a cool idea and so glad it has happened as Ohakune has been needing a spot like this for so long. There is 6 stalls and all have enough privacy which is great and more privacy will come when the trees he has planted reach maturity. Love the fact that these are proper hot tubs also - heated by fire not just ya average spa model brought from harvery normal. 10/10 for originality and class. Overall so chuffed with this addition. I wouldnt recommend more that 4 people as we had 5 and was a bit of a squish.

I love these wood fired hot tubs. Private, toastie and great atmosphere. The smell and crackle of the fire in the burner makes it so much better than a typical hot tub. Great that you get clean water for every booking. Highly recommended!

Ohakune Hot Tubs
Did a last minute booking one rainy evening and loved every second. Beautiful tubs, very private, and heated with a wood-fire oven which means it also smells wonderful. We took some beer and mead from the local brewery and had a great time sitting in the rain.Would absolutely come again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing option on a cool evening!

What a unique experience. We were greeted by the owner who supplied us with towels & a jug of chilled water & glasses. We were shown to our tub & given a brief run down on how to stoke the fire, if we so desired. There’s a simple but adequate changing room in each walled off area & whilst enjoying the clear starry night we were regaled by the sounds of a deer roaring & an angry duck being awoken by a resident cat. We loved the ambience & the smell of the wood smoke hanging in the chilled night air.

Amazing little spot! The tubs were very hot and in immaculate condition. Super friendly service. We went at night and the view of the stars were incredible! Will definitely be back!

We had a very relaxing hour soaking in one of the 5 hot tubs which are newly built so very clean and comfortable . Each tub has its own enclosed, garden compound so maximum privacy. The fresh, unchlorinated water is heated to around 40c and is replaced for each session. The temperature can be adjusted via a small wood burning heater. We were amazed at how relaxed we felt at the end and the soft smooth feeling of our skin. I loved that there were no chemical smells. We loved the peaceful location of the tubs. Would definitely do again. Thanks to helpful owner Braden

Amazing! Such a lovely place with all the planting and individual pools it feels very exclusive. Owner Braden was very kind, welcoming and helpful, so much so we came back for a second!! Great for couples and even families (took mine the second time )
