I tried to rent a car through transfercar. They confirmed the booking and then asked for all credit informations especially ccv . To send in a mail or by phone. When I called to explain the uncomfortable situation this was and try to find out if it was possible to make a bond at the agency where we would pick up the car. That would secure the transaction and make me less stressed about handing over my credit card information I got yelled at so much it made me less comfortable to grant this guy my informations.He told me I would never get the car if I don’t give the informations.So I cancelled it, I got charged 25 dollars by transfercar because that’s a different company and because I am the one cancelling, i got yelled at because I was afraid of scamming. I also went to a police station to confirm that the company is not supposed to ask for those informations legally, and they said I was right to not give my informations that’s too dangerous.Strongly don’t recommend to deal with them. They want your money but not human people.Thank you for lightening up my day.I am wondering how you would deal with the fact that more and more scammers is arriving in New Zealand and that you all base on trust while yelling at people, good job
