Excellent welcoming service. The food was great and the home made pies are some of the best my partner and I had ever had. We loved the funky aesthetic. And you can't beat one of their Famous coffees while sitting on the couches in their comfy lounge. We could sit all day!

We have been in this cosy place three times in the last few days and each time the coffee has been excellent. The cabinet food is really good and the home made pies are exceptional with flaky pastry. Friendly, if slightly absent minded service!

We found this place totally by accident. It was amazing! By far the best breakfast we've had while vacationing in New Zealand, and we've ate at some great places! I highly recommend stopping here. The food is delicious and the staff is awesome!

Phoenix Cafe and Bar
A really unusual quirky kind of place, with a sort of lived in feeling that I found quite atractive. The first time I had lunch here I had a really nice venison pastie. Unfortuneately the second time was not so good, I was charged $10-50 for a rather ordinary sandwich, which I thought, was more than a bit over the top. Nerver the less it is still worth giving a try if you are in the area.

Really good eggs benny with friendly service. Nice relaxed environment. A great spot on a warm day to grab a bite and/or a drink and enjoy their outdoor seating.
