Manukau Event Centre

By far the cleanest venue I have been to in Auckland. Looks and smells amazing. From the outside does not look big but from the inside it is huge. We went in to view the venue and lady that showed us through was very caring and knowledgeable, we had to reschedule our function but I have to say this is our first choice. Keep up the great work guys.

We have been to MEC so many times but this time it really felt different. Can't thank you guys enough for making things so easy for us. Highly recommended venue.

Back in 2018, Me n My Wife had our reception here. I may say the experience was absolutely breath taking. We didnt worry about a thing, everything was handled in a professional manner the venue, food, staffing n vicinity was immaculate. Will always had fond memories of this place thank you very much....

We attended the wedding of one of my friend. The venue is just awesome, spacious and can accommodate more than 150 people at a time. The food was awesome and so is the service. Limited car park in the area and most of it is off road, this is the only downside of this place.

Overall the best priced venue in Auckland, we did a birthday function in the backroom and it was perfect for 180ppl. We arrived in the morning to setup a few bits and pieces and everything was fully setup and ready to go. Will be back in a couple of months time as my family from Hamilton has booked the place too.

Absolutely outstanding in every way!Ari and Alice were prompt, courteous and so helpful in organising our 10 year wedding anniversary. We provided our ideas/thoughts and on arrival on the day, they exceeded our expectations. It was magical. I am so appreciative of everyone who made our day so special.The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly.Location is ideal for those living in South Auckland.Thank you so much!My niece decided to have her wedding here 2 weeks later.Highly recommend 5 star rating.

I appreciate that MEC was flexible in allowing us to make changes to our preferred room in short notice. I believe that the communication we received from our dedicated event planner could have been better. Closer to the wedding day (the most critical time she was needed) it was difficult to get a hold of her. We were not well informed of the costs of decorations when we met with her to finalise our plans, which came as a surprise once our final quote was received. I learnt of MEC from your ads on social media. These ads were misleading in terms of “free decorations” which had caused us a-lot of confusion and stress during an already stressful period of planning and budgeting for the wedding. We hope that MEC reviews these misleading ads. We hope that some consideration is also made regarding the decoration cost including atleast some selection of centre pieces to choose from as the decor.We paid $20 extra on top of the pp cost for the front table catering. The food was not dished out equally amongst guests. And the food quality could have been better. This was the feedback I received from our guests that attended. The purpose of my review is that I hope MEC makes appropriate improvement in future and for future customers to receive the service they deserve.MEC - If you would like pictures of the misleading ads about “free decorations” I am happy to send them through for your reference.I did hear some good review about the place in the past and I wonder if you need to perhaps step back, review and ensure you are delivering the same service as when you did the past years. Also please look into improving your parking area accessing your smaller room as its quite dirty, just some feedback to consider for improvement.

My husband and I could not have picked a better place to have our wedding reception! We had the best wedding reception ever and we can’t thank the Manukau Event Centre enough for all of their help along the way! Ari and all of the staff there were amazing and super helpful with everything. Ari was very responsive through email and phone calls for my many questions, she made the venue available for us on multiple occasions to visit as part of the planning process and she knew exactly what to do, when, and how to do it. They made the process, and the day itself, run like a well oiled machine. On the day of, they had already set up our decorations many hours in advance, exactly as we had asked for them to be arranged, and they ran everything on time and smoothly, so that we could enjoy the day. The venue was gorgeous, the guests loved the food (big portions, and tasty!), and everyone was helpful. I can’t recommend it highly enough! We absolutely love it there and are so thankful to Manukau Event Centre who made our wedding reception day extra special!!!“

We had a wedding reception in the studio 15 room it was perfect for our guest list of 160. During the planning stages Neha and Ryan were very accommodating and made things very simple for us. On the night the main lady sorry I forget her name made sure things ran smoothly. Will surely be back soon for my sister's 21st.
