This place has nice walking paths that lead up to the waterfall. I went to the top of the falls, it wasn't worth the effort of ALL the stairs, sooooo many.I would definitely suggest going to the Falls, not the top of the falls" for the best view."

Great sight to see, if you can brave the cold water I suspect it would be great to swim in the small pool under the falls.If you take the left path there's LOTS of steps, taking the right pah is probably just as steep but takes you down a little stairway to the water, just a little to the side of the falls. Easy enough to cross to be in front.You'll understand when you're there

The trail is very well marked and maintained with different options to approach the bottom of the waterfalls clockwise or counterclockwise, and an offshoot to climb the stairs" to the very top of the falls. Absolutely beautiful and conveniently close to Auckland for a day hike."

So beautiful, worth the trip up to the top of the falls 100%! Cold little pools, the pool closest to the edge is the coldest but so so worth the swim, had a fun little swim with the friendly eel at the top! Definitely worth getting to, such a breath of fresh air

Breathtaking views and absolutely lovely walking trail, beautiful, clean, and well maintained with a bit of history information. Our kids are 4, 8, and 15, and this was easy enough for all of them. We all had a blast. There are places where you can have a quick bite as well.

Beautiful waterfall, well maintained paths. Quite a few stairs, but at a slow pace it's manageable even for those who have low fitness. Parking is free and plenty big enough for our camper.

Super super cool spot. A very nice and easy hiking trail leading to a breathtaking spot. The hike from your car to the falls is about 30 minutes each day but the terrain is fairly mild. There is a significant uphill portion towards the end and you have to cross a river either through the water or jumping rock to rock but other than that the trail is basically paved and super easy. There are restroom facilities and even a shoe cleaning station before you enter the trail

Kitekite Falls
A lovely waterfall with the option to swim if you like. Be prepared, bring your best walking shoes as the grade can be steep, and a towel for your feet or quick dry shoes if you want to get close to the base of the waterfall. Note that the signposts estimate the walk to be 25min one way but we found with the grade it takes about twice as long going uphill, about 45min total. Picnic area and toilets before the turnstile entry to the park.

Was unfortunate but the track is still currently closed due to the landslides in the area. But still felt lucky to get to see the area and Piha beach (which is still closed off to the public if you don’t have accommodation booked in the area)

Beautiful walk to the falls. Paths are very well maintained & sign-posted. Plenty of free parking for all sizes of vehicles including campers. Recommended for all ages.
