nice hut with gas cookers and cool views. was pretty messy when I was there but just depends who's been there before you I guess. wet firewood and looking a bit tired but could translate that to has some character and charm to it.

Great Hut with amazing views. Sinks with running water is a bonus. Although there wasn't any firewood when we were there.

For a DOC Hutt I was extremely impressed. Be careful after a rain though, the hike up can be a bit sketchy

Great spot for views looking down towards Masterton. About a 4 to 5 hour tramp from Mt Holdsworth car park.

Good hut but looks very small compared to the other ones in the area. Did the loop around having lunch at Powell hut then spent the night at jumbo and went back by the river. Took me 2 days. Awesome views with the snow.

Jumbo via Powell hut and Mt Holdsworth summit was a wonderful 7ish walk with amazing views. The hut had gas cookers and was quite warm late April when full of people.

Jumbo Hut
Stayed two nights, then worked our way around to powell. 3 double Gas cooking stoves, plenty of fire wood potentially slow cook on top. Warm comfy and plenty of space.
