Aldersgate Centre

I attended the open lecture sponsored by Christian World Service, zoomed to Christchurch from Dunedin. CWS is now located here.The complex of church and associated facilities was a replacement for the one tha collapsed in the earthquake in 2011.It is modern, attractive, with ecellent facilities for an event like that. A pleasant surprise was an assembly area and garden outside, which would much appreciated at a conference. Very close is Victoria Squate, and the Town Hall complex, and also the Conference Centre is making good progress.A new Catholic Cathedral has been proposed for the far side of the sqare.

Great venue for team day, events, small sized conferences. Catered morning tea and lunch upon request. Parking available onsite with some off-street parking. Beautiful venue with nice and friendly staff onsite. Reasonably priced hourly rate $50/hr for the wananga room.

Rather hot inside, would like some air conditioning

Aldersgate hosted our Living Wage Mayoral Forum this year. The venue is beautiful, the acoustics perfect, and all of the amenities - unisex bathrooms with linen towels, industrial kitchen facilities, projector and sound system - world class. The staff were so so helpful and welcoming and did a lot to ensure the event flowed without a hitch. Thanks so much!

Love the stained glass window and the inclusive interfaith feel of the place.

Great venue to hire for our market. We could fit loads of stalls in the hall and also made use of the wānanga room. We also got tonnes of great feedback about the space, lounge area, bathrooms etc. and using the vestry as a changing room was a hit! Pack down was easy and comms with the venue manager was great. Would use again.
