Christchurch Ōtautahi Family Photographer | Liane Helena Photography | Hi! My name is Liane, I’m a family photographer based in Christchurch with my family for a while now. I felt in love with photography while registering my son's first moments and never stopped. For me, my job is more than a business, it's passion. I feel blessed when a client chooses me to tell a part of his story through my lens. I'm specialized in family photography and had opportunity to be part of lovely moments in all this years. Time goes by so fast, and we tend to forget a lot with the years, but a picture can hold your memories forever. What are the moments you want to collect? Liane is a wonderful, friendly person to work with. She makes sure you feel comfortable throughout the process and you don't feel rushed. I won a maternity session with Liane as a gift from friends and I can just say that it was a VERY SPECIAL gift. Since our first contact, Liane was very friendly, attentive and super careful, she explained about her work, gave guidance, suggestions and was super open to try to meet expectations and wishes. I had never participated in a photo shoot before and I was afraid of feeling uncomfortable or shy, but Liane was fantastic, she did everything to make me feel comfortable and the session was very relaxed and happy. She also photographed my baby and family, and once again she was great and did everything to ensure everyone was happy and comfortable. I could not recommend her work more, amazing professional. You can see that Liane loves what she does, and this makes her work beautiful!

Liane was quite professional and made us feel very comfortable during the sessions, she played some music, and she was very confederative looking after me (a clumsy pregnant woman). My partner also felt good, as he mentioned, just like at home. Posing for a picture was not awkward at all as we thought it could be, it felt quite natural. Liane delivered the edited photos in time as promised and in her photos, I look prettier than I am in reality :-) Apart from the online delivery of the photos she also gave them to us in a flash drive and some high quality printed photos which was an unexpected gift that I loved! All in a lovely handcrafted package. In terms of money, the whole experience and material delivered are worth so much more than what she charges. So, in my opinion, her price is great and very affordable. And you get to keep those beautifully unique frozen moments/memories forever. I highly recommend photographing with her. I'll definitely do it again in the future.

I cannot recommend Liane Helena photography enough. We travelled from Sydney Australia to NZ for Christmas 2022 and knowing how beautiful the landscape is in the south island, I made a family photoshoot the top of my to-do list. All through the lead up to the shoot Liane was in touch with advise on what outfits to wear and keeping an eye on things like the weather and offering back up options in the event of unfavorable weather.On the day of the shoot, we met up in the Port Hills above Christchurch, and the scenery and the light was incredible.It was easy and relaxed, so much so, that my husband suggested that we make Liane our family photographer, as we will be coming back every year or so.Liane is fantastic at what she does and the end result is stunning.Would definitely recommend Liane.
