I want to preface this review with: the pizza is delicious and the place is vibrant and service is good.The pizza base is excellent. We had the Workhorse: delicious, but the pickles are overwhelming.Not sure there’s ever a place for pickles on a pizza, actually.The place has a lot of history but for anyone who might be offended by taxidermy mounts, it’s difficult to find a spot without direct eye contact.

It's a decent place. I don't think it's worth the hype nor the wait though. The selection of beers is good. The food was average. We got the Globetrotter, workhorse, bullocky, stockman pizzas. They're pretty good but were on the dry side. Also got the ribs and they were a let down. Overall, not worth the wait or travel if you're not in Waipi already.

Must have experience if you are in the area near Waipu or Mangawhai. Pizza s and food to die for. Match that with your choice of award winning beers. Will never feel disappointed. Awesome place for craft beer lovers and all.

Best beer in NZ! Great pizzas and nachos too. It gets really busy during the holiday season but staff is always friendly and accommodating. Best place to meet locals and get tips about places to visit in the area.

This place is 10/10Great people and service, fantastic selection of craft beers and the pizza is next level.Over Summer, I don't think they take bookings, so make sure you give yourself a little buffer if it's busy. Enjoy!

Went for lunch .We got couple of tap beers ( well known )1)the ribeye which was delicious,2)squid deep fried - amazing could have been a bit more spicier3) Pizza - as known for the cafe , was great .My personal fav - Ribeye .

They extremely increased prices and reduced choice of dishes.The quality of pizza is terrible - big pieces of onion and other vegetables with very dry base of pizza.

Even in a Waipu-wide powercut, their customer service was amazing! (as was their food!) Our pizzas came nice and hot, and (according to those of us in our group who got beer) the beer was really good. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10, will come again!

Great pizza and great beer. The Globetrotter pizza with lashings of gorgeous bacon and venison sausage is sensational. And washing it down with one of the numerous brews on offer from NZ's champion medium sized brewery (Mcleods) makes this place a must do on any trip that is to, near, or simply goes past Waipu.
