The team at carevets are wonderful. In less than a week my cockatiel has had surgery and is on the mend. Incredible care and compassion. Will be back for sure!

I have been coming to CareVets Glen Eden for several years. Last August my cat, Tangerine, became very sick, and after two days of tests and scans, the vet said that his condition was terminal.I came back to the clinic to say goodbye to Tangerine and the vets and staff were wonderful. They were very caring and sympathetic and answered all my questions.I remember a windy walk home from CareVets carrying an empty cat cage with tears pouring down my face. I didn't encounter anyone on the walk home, not that it would have bothered me if I had, as I was not embarrassed by my tears, and very few people walk anywhere nowadays anyway.Just before Christmas, I adopted two black, eight-week-old kittens from an unwanted litter of five from the SPCA, and they too deserve their chance at a better life. To each his own, but I have never subscribed to the thinking that the loss of a pet should cancel out ownership in the future. I have adopted many cats in the past, all strays, and know that I did my best for them gave them a better life that every animal deserves. I broke my heart over them all when they passed on, but I never allowed that to influence my thinking in caring for more animals. I have been helping a family on Gt North Road with their cats for three years and also on Dominion Road, Mt Eden where I initiated the rescue and rehoming of a colony of cats 12 years ago. There are currently four cats left and I have been feeding them over the last few days as the owners are away on holiday.Thank you for the opportunity to write a review.Ruth Moreau

Fantastic vets and friendly staff at Care Vets. A wealth of experience with a wide range of animals. This is the place to take your exotics and bearded dragons.

While the team were very friendly, and kind, they told me my cat had lung worm (whatever that is) and gave me antibiotics to treat her with. I had said its sounds like she has something stuck in her throat and vomits when she rats and is choking and coughing. They sent us home Without actually doing any blood tests or a thorough examination. Only a Mayne 2 pr 3 months later I had to rush her to the emergency vet and have her put down as she had a cancerous tumor that was choking her in her throat. Had they have done the proper tests it could have been treated. And I would have still had my baby girl. #broken

Every time I needed urgent help with my pets, CareVets were very accommodating and went out of their way to fit us in and assist. The team is friendly, respectful and efficient. Even though it is quite a drive from where I live, I won't take my pets to any other vets! Highly recommend!

I hope the experience you had with me will make you treat your customers with a bit better. Don't leave the customer out in the pouring rain with their cat and at least open the door for your customer who's supposed to drop off their cat at 7:40. How disrespectful is it to not even open a door for your customer who's trying to explain that they need to drop off their cat. And then when you got me flustered with the level of disrespect, you threatened not to do my cat's ultrasound. Like I wasn't supposed to act human for the disrespect you were just showing me. You don't know anything about customer service and you don't know anything about common sense. Honestly disgusting.

We’ve been coming here for the last 3 years and while the vet has been fantastic I find the reception staff/Manager quiet rude, not creating much of an inviting atmosphere and their tone when they talk to you is awful, like you are an inconvenience to them. They can be all over the place, shouting things across the room, always makes me feel awkward and I don’t even work there ! Work on your service guys !

I went to the clinic with my seriously ill cat. I had called twice before indicating that it would be an appointment for an euthanisia.I waited in the very busy and loud reception room for 20 minutes with my friend, who was holding the cat in a towel in his arm. I went twice to the reception asking how much longer we have to wait, as the cat started to get irritated. I was asked if I wanted to reschedule. Any other vet I have been to before had a much more respectful way of dealing with the situation. I will not be back.
