Nice place for family picnic, stroll on beach or barge. Big pier for boats. Cafe is awesome view. Must visit Cafe and support local always. Not far 45 min from Auckland city center.

Stunning, fun for my son to play with crabs, swim, run, laugh, and chill out in peace. Clean toilets and showers. Lovely cafe alongside

Shelly Beach Wharf
Beautiful park with Walkway and well maintained lawns and Wharf. Toilets were messy and smelly to the point of disgust...on the up side its not a long drop like so many places(to many) in NZ.

A great spot to stay in a private area away from the main carpark. Powered sites available at a very reasonable cost. Toilets and hot showers also available in the facilities close the wharf. The Cafe is currently closed but according to the locals will reopen in time for the comming spring/summer.

Great if you love fishing. I do wonder why they didn't build the wharf to the other side, I could have walked across the harbour and maybe a walk up Mt Auckland.

An absolute gem this side of Auckland. Powered and non powered sites available with plenty of parking. And the views are insane. Nice and quiet spot, toilets are great with outdoor and indoor showers, cafe is closed where you're supposed to check in/pay for access to the gated campground but the locals here told us to pay the local resident" here at the campground
