Fantastic romantic escape location. Beautiful cottage with log fire, twin baths, comfortable beds.

My friends and I stayed at the Night Sky Cottage at the end of July. We were blown away by the cottage itself, and with the level of service provided by Elsbeth and team.The cottage was very clean, neat and cosy. Everything you could think of was provided, plus more! The kitchen was fully stocked in order to prepare breakfast and other meals. My favourite things would have to be the natural ingredient based soaps and washes, the easy to understand recycling scheme and the fireplace.The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. Each was fitted with an electric blanket which was much appreciated during the cold nights.In addition to the fireplace, there were heaters throughout the cottage which kept the temperature comfortable.Elsbeth was very helpful in catering for our needs. Different dietary requirements were catered for and the fireplace was ready to light when we got there. The check in procedure was made very simply and easy. I loved the little touches like the boardgames, the candles, the torches next to your bed and the bath salts.I would high recommend Night Sky Cottage for anyone wanted to stay around Mount Ruapehu.

Amazing slice of paradise, nestled within the forest, abutting the National Park. The Nightsky Cottage has been expertly crafted with sustainability in mind to provide a restful, luxurious stay with a clean conscience.Thank you Elspeth and Carel, what an amazing opportunity! Could not recommend more highly. That bathroom, whoa!
