Clarence River Rafting

Our group of 15 spent five wonderful days on the Clarence, going from the confluence with the Acheron to the Pacific Ocean. We enjoyed great scenery, comfortable camping, scrumptious food and good company. Our guides kept us informed and entertained while expertly manoeuvring us through numerous rapids. It was fascinating experiencing an otherwise fairly inaccessible part of New Zealand and seeing the impact of the 2016 earthquake on the river.Highly recommended!

Great trip in April. We were well taken care of by Nic, Sam, Jamie, and the comedian Ruben. Bloody awesome food, and gorgeous scenery.

Classic kiwi service. It felt very relaxed and like we were in safe hands the whole time. There was no time pressure, lots of good quality food, and the staff (Jaron, Em and Mitch) were highly capable and friendly. Would do again and recommend to anyone interested in seeing the rugged kiwi back country. Thanks team.

Just completed a four day raft trip down the Clarence. What an amazing experience. Great guides, great food and excellent rafting. I had been scared before I started but the clam, professional manner of the guides ensured I had a wonderful experience.

Very friendly staff...I was a tired cyclist seeking the nearest refreshments and they kindly volunteered to make me a coffee themselves - despite me not being a customer ☺️.

I did a multi-day trip with them and they were fantastic! The river is long and gorgeous. They know the river so well. Bridget was one of our guides and is incredibly knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this trip.

One of the best multi day adventures we have had in NZ! The hard working guides for our trip (Ruby, Georgia, & Sampy) were awesome in terms of their knowledge of the region, their rafting skills to keep us safe, their obvious passion for their job,and the fantastic food they cooked on an open fire for our 4 night/5 day trip. The scenery is remote, beautiful and unspoiled, and wildlife can be seen in their natural environment. Some of NZ’s largest farms/stations are along the Clarence River, and we felt like our group was the only people on the river the whole time, always good to be totally free of tourist hotspots! Ensure a rafting trip with Clarence Water Rafting is on your bucket list :)Cannot recommend Clarence River Rafts highly enough, 10/10! We loved it!
