Air Charter Karamea

We booked a charter flight from Karamea back to Brown hut after completing the Heaphy track. Craig was very easy to communicate with and most accomodating with what we requested. He met us at the airport in Karamea and explained that Sam would fly us back. During the flight we had a very smooth take off and Sam pointed out various landmarks before a very smooth landing.The airport was a wee distance from Brown hut , Sam drove us back to the hut. This was all included in the quoted price. Well done Air Karamea Sam and Craig !!

Cannot recommend Air Charter Karamea enough. The communication and service my friends and I received from both Craig and Sam was outstanding. They were super friendly and made our return trip from Karamea to Nelson an experience to remember!

We were a group of 3 hikers that chartered a flight from Karamea to Takaka Airport after hiking the Heaphy Track. Weather was not in our favour and it wasn't safe to fly for a couple of days after we finished. Craig and Sam from Air Charter Karamea gave us lots of options and helped us arrange a pick-up at the trailhead to get us into town and recommended a lovely accommodation to wait out the storm (The Last Resort). Sam came by the lodge several times to brief us in person and kept us updated by telephone about the weather conditions. Once it was safe to fly, we had the most magnificent flight over the coast, seeing snow-capped mountains and rolling green hills with sheep and finally, beautiful Golden Bay. Sam was super friendly and took some great photos of us with the plane and overall, made it a great experience. We would 100% recommend Air Charter Karamea for the service and the phenomenal scenic experience that capped off an amazing trip on the Heaphy!
