Love this shop and the team who run it! Every visit I end up getting something stunning and always reasonably priced. Incredible staff who are always so happy - and always offer to hold onto my skateboard/ bag if I’m struggling to juggle, which is so lovely!

Pretty expensive for an op shop (second hand clothing) but you can find some good stuffCloths for both men and women

It’s like no one at your stores ever wants to be there. You’re selling very much second hand (stained or not even that good condition, let’s be honest) clothing, so why the attitude? Your team at the Tannery are awful and after many experiences, I would not recommend or go back.

Good shop, just a bit pricey for me and the range of bags is very limited. We'll laid out, though, and clean and plenty of clothes.

As a long term seller and buyer here I've reached the final straw with this branch of RB.Firstly, they say they accept quality, branded clothing, however, they've rejected so many clean, quality designer items I've brought in THEN I see glassons/boohoo fast fashion items on racks all the time! Makes me wonder if staff slip their cheap items in through the system to get easy $Secondly, staff behaviour is consistently rude and elitist (there's only 1 friendly blonde woman that works there). I'm unsure if its because the Tannery caters to a higher socio-economic class or because customer service training is not adequate and monitored. The worst event was shopping with my mum who went to buy a leather jacket, misreading the tag as $80. When rang up as $180 to her surprise, she said she wouldn't purchase it. The staff members sniggered and then after my mum walked away I heard them laugh and say Ew she thought it was $80" "Right! And she couldn't even afford $180". I have no words for such shameful behaviour.Finally

I thought it could have been me but after reading the reviews for the Recycling Botique it seems I’m not the only one who feels this way.Dropped my clothes off 2 weeks ago to the Tannery store. Young girl was semi helpful but another older lady behind the counter looked at me like I should be shopping at The Warehouse, not their store. Initially thought it was due to me being a curvier size. Tried to make conversation, smiled at her but got nothing back. All she really said to me is “if your clothes are not purchased it’s up to you to come into our store, find them and pick them up.” Wasn’t what she said but how she said it. Blunt and abrupt.Have just received an email to say none of my clothes were accepted?? Once again, maybe because they are size 14 and 16? I had brands such a Roxy, Cooper St and Levi’s?Won’t bother returning, apart from to pick up my clothes. Apparently there is a lovely recycling shop in Papanui that has amazing customer service and doesn’t appear to discriminate people based on their size.My clothes were accepted around 7 years ago at the Recycling Botique so I’m not sure what criteria has changed? Such a snotty and snobby experience. Would give 0 stars if I could.
