I've been very happy with Meridian. I especially appreciate the weekly email that lets you know what you've used and the cost, as opposed to waiting till month end for a shock. It allows you to rein in any excessive behaviour.

Terrible company. Asked to change ownership of current account under to someone else, instead of doing this they say that I have to cancel my account and I will get charged $200. So instead of you guys keeping business for $200 you will lose a lot more... makes sense.

Meridian, along with other power companies, is making massive profit, paying massive dividends to their shareholders, and keeping prices high for their customers. We need to tax Gentailers (Generator-retailers) like Meridian on their excess profits and invest it in renewable energy - making energy cheaper for customers and creating a cleaner climate. Everyone in Aotearoa has the right to live in a safe climate, with a clean, resilient and affordable power supply, especially during a climate crisis and a cost of living crisis.

If it wasn't for a contract I have with Meridian, I would sift back to Genesis. Cheaper power, a user friendly website and an app that works. Don't understand why Meridian are so backward

Meridian Energy are awesome! Just switched to them a couple of months ago, had to call them today and spoke to two people who were both so lovely and helpful. Best customer service I've had in a very long time
