Koiya Japanese Restaurant
We have eaten a lot of a Japanese food around the world, and this place is at the top of the list. The Bento boxes where fabulous. I had Salmon miso which was very good, but all the sides were also very good as well. Sushi was fresh, and Karaage was great as well. Miso was quite good. The ambience was quite nice, but there is limited seating, especially since it is popular.

This is a small restaurant tucked away next to another Asian restaurant. But the food is outstanding, the service friendly and efficient, and the place has a real atmosphere, with it's varied art works tastefully enhancing the space. Highly recommended.

Really awesome atmosphere and great food at a pretty good price considering it is in Auckland! A good place to go for lunch or dinner. Particularly love the pork gyoza and the bento boxes!

One of the many things I love about this place is their rule to use clean oil as I often get headaches when this is not the case. The service is incredibly kind, prices are very fair, and the atmosphere is very rustic and cosy. Definitely worth a try, or two… :)

Great prices and delicious food. Definitely recommend and would come here again!Just a small thing that would be nice was if the cheese could be more melted on the cheese Katsu.

MISO KATSU CHICKEN - A must have dish here!One of the best Katsu I have eaten in Auckland cbd. Cooked in fresh oil and served as golden and crunchy. Paired with miso sauce dip and a generous amount of salad, it was a delicious dish.The staff were friendly and served us with a smile.Environment is like a transport to Japan with Japanese interior pieces throughout.Price was affordable with dishes being around $16.Will be back again!

Nice little Japanese restaurant. Simple comfort food done well. The tempura prawn dishes are particular good.

Great dinner with Koiya Japanese restaurant. The Tokyo dinner set is huge and fresh. Even though it was super busy on a Thursday night, our order was ready in less than ten minutes. Staff and service was excellent, definitely come back in the near future. 10/10.
