Lake Tūtira conservation campsite: Tutira area, Hawke's Bay region | Camp at the southern end of the freshwater lake, and walk to Table Mountain Trig for views of inland Kaweka, Maungaharuru Range and coastal Hawke’s Bay. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking and sailing on the lake.

Lovely place to stay night. Too many sheep and poo.

Most of the walking tracks are closed due to logging. The lower tracks are short but you would have to return the same way. Flooding has made the lake difficult to access.However fantastic scenery,and good for long swimming.ii

Lake Tutira. Nice area, the lake is being cleaned up. Walkways could do with a tidy up.

A very picturesque and quiet campsite a short drive from the road. We are full width and 3.5m high so brushed the trees and bushes at times. Couldnt find an iron maiden but have DOC pass anyway but there were no signs that we saw showing any charges.Presume the others there that didnt have passes were staying free. We will be back some day.

There are several walks varying in distance and difficulty, good views from the summit of table top mountain.

The driveway in is full of potholes. And thistles . In the camp ground . Shame about this it would be great if the council . Maintenance looked after the place . Toilet are clean and tidy.

Excellent area to camp. Was a shame the grass is kept short by sheep. Alit of droppings in camping area.

Fantastic quiet location next to the lake. Clean toilets and rubbish bin area. Would definitely recommend :)
