I used this organization twice, first time amazing. Second time I had never sold house before and the receptionist had been sending info to the wrong address so ended up a night matter the day before settlement when Sue rang scaring/terrifying me terribly saying we had to return the forms I knew all about which had been sent to me. She explained we were up for huge expenses and it would affect house sale. Since the receptionist had sent it to wrong address I had no idea, and if my son hasn't been there it would have been disastrous for me. There was no real apologies initially and I was told it was all my fault and responsibility, and it was Stressful so be careful, don't know what you could do though to prevent this as I hadn't received and correspondence from her, so was unaware..

Was asked if we were going into the office to sign papers for sale of our house and this was from a lawyer in Auckland, we live at the other end of the country no we are not".Then because the JP didn't put exact wording on ID it's not good enough

All fine up until settlement when there was a problem with an item of the property and I was clearly in the right to have it replaced, they backed down and tried to push me to settle and give in to what the vendors wanted and tried to make me in the wrong. They didn’t even want to hear or understand the full story nor did they want to defend me or stand up for what was right (funny... seeing as they are my lawyers). Straight away without hesitation they took the side of the vendors and I had to play the role of lawyer for myself and argue what was wrong with them first before they finally understood by which point it was too late. Last bit of advice was go to the disputes tribunal. I believe their negligence and carelessness certainly contributed to the problem and had they been quick to act and actually defend me (as my lawyers) instead of doing a runner and siding with the vendors to avoid effort on their end, certainly would’ve helped.

I have purchased 2 properties using the fantastic team at HTC Dunedin and could not reccomend them highly enough. They helped me to get my kiwisaver and the homestar grant in a prompt timely fashion that did not leave my feeling like I may have missed out as other people I know did at the time due to using regular lawyers not a team of dedicated professionals

Quick, professional and helpful service! Will be using these guys for our real estate transactions in the future. The first time I haven't had to chase up a conveyancing lawyer and the first time our settlements is done first thing in the morning :)
