Have visited Dockside many times and have always had good meals and staff have been great. If there is any issues, they are quickly addressed. Beautiful view if you can get a table facing the water. Recommend.

One of my favorite restaurants in Wellington.They have wonderful selection of seafood platters and my favorites are their chowder, grilled fish or fish of the day, and salmon. The salmon is very creamy yet you can taste it’s crispy skin. They also have steak and duck menu.The appetizers are also lovely, particularly the calamari, tuna sashimi, and fresh oyster as well as fried oyster with tempura. Desserts are tempting as well.The last time we came here, we were seated on the upper floor. Love the view from here and the place has an overall elegant ambience and the service is good.Those with reduced mobility might have issue going up to the upper through the stairs but if you can get the spot on ground floor then it won’t be problematic.Parking can be a bit tricky but there is a park building near the area.Happy to be back.

Beautiful restaurant setting right on Wellington's waterfront in a lovely historic old building. The customer service was friendly and attentive, but I thought the food was way over-priced for the quality and quantity exoerienced. I had the scallops and calamari starter which was $26 and scattered around the plate to make it look like a big portion. For mains I had the lamb rack for $42 and it just wasn't that tasty. I was also very surprised when the waitress had to ask the chef if I could swap out the potatoes in my main for broccolini. Just thought at that price, any changes could be easily accommodated and not questioned. I wouldn't rush back there.

We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very good. Great seat by the window looking at the sea. Food was delicious and beautifully presented . Mushroom pate was yummo. Pork belly was cooked perfectly with tasty accompaniments . A great plant based menu. Hubby enjoyed the salmon . Pancakes went down well.

We were in Wellington recently and wanted to enjoy a more fine dining experience for my partners birthday. I booked us in for the 5 course degustion with wine match and we were blown away from start to finish. We were seated at the front of the deck with a beautiful view of the city nightlights. I'm coeliac and they were only happy to accommodate with a full gluten free menu. The food was exceptional and we couldn't fault a thing, as was the wine match for each course. This was 10/10 for every aspect, including our waiter Zach, who explained the dishes and wine match for us along the way, and ensured we were well looked after. While it was more expensive, we got the fine dining experience we wanted and would happily pay that again for the quality of food and service.

Fantastic place to have a meal and take in the scenery. Dockside have a separate plant based menu which was everything we were hoping for. Food was delicious and the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable
