I bought some glasses single vision lenses.The reason I choose Bailey vs other big corporations is to support local businesses.With my surprise lenses were not smudge proof. So I went back and no Staff was aware of the mention on their website! The sales associate told me they provide me with the little cloth so I can clean my lenses when needed ! I couldn’t believe what I heard, so stubborn attitude. The Manager checked the website cause was in denial and told me that I was wrong. After she clearly saw it herself no apologies. She told me me must have been the new Marketing person that put it on the website. Instead of giving me the option of adding the smudge proof lenses she tried to call this Marketing person on the phone. Then she told me no answer so couldn’t do anything! I said that’s your website and the reason I bought it was because of smudge proof lenses included in the $175 not even cheaper than other retail stores. The quality is really poor I was keep cleaning the lenses every 5 minutes and always been very cautious on my fingers try to not touching the lenses. Lack of communication is the issue, also being a Manager without checking your website denotes not able to be on that position. She was asking other Staff in the store if they knew about it and since when the “Smudge Proof remark “ was added. Really a disaster seems everyone work by themselves and the word Team it’s unknown. I was not offered and option but the Manager said nobody answer but I can give you a refund ! I was there 3 times (when I bought the glasses, when I picked it up and finally when I claimed lenses were not smudge proof. Time petrol and parking cost added to the inconvenience. I will not recommend your Business a total failure !26 MARCH 2021 UpdateI have received a call from the Regional Manager, they are investigating.Asking me what can they do for me ?????? I said How about providing me glasses as you have promised as per your website ? Again no offer of a remedy and do the Smudge Proof coating to my glasses. Stating if I will be happy to be contacted again for the update of the investigation................................. You should give what you promise to your Customers

Great service and loved the style of the glasses but quality wise, it's the worst pair of glasses I've ever owned. Been wearing glasses for over 2 decades and never have I had to continuously return to the shop so many times for tune ups, tightening, changing nose pads etc. Been wearing this pair of glasses for the past 1+ years and I have to keep going back every 2-4 months to get it tightened or else it just slips fully off my face if I don't continuously push the glasses up my nose. Also I've had to change the nose pads twice within the time I've owned them since they get mould or something gets in them and they go green. Extremely disappointed.

I’ve been getting my glasses from Bailey Nelson for over 5 years now, and I won’t go anywhere else. From the consultants to the optometrists, the service is top notch, they are always helpful and knowledgeable. The glasses range is amazing too, I constantly get compliments on my glasses and I’ve recommended them to everyone who asks.

Unfortunately had a very disappointing experience here. I've been looking for a new pair of glasses for months, but have been really struggling. Went here 3 days ago and found my perfect pair! I was over the moon. I had to go to work though, so I asked a member of staff (who, at this point, had not acknowledged me and was on the computer while I was trying glasses) about stock. I explained I wanted to buy the glasses, but it would be easier for me to come on another day, and did they have several pairs in stock.The member of staff told me they had lots of pairs in stock, and I could come back. I asked if I could take a picture with the glasses and of the reference of the glasses and he said OK. His general attitude was a bit off, I felt like I was being looked down on, but everyone can have bad days, so i didn't let it affect me.I returned today, 3 days later. And the glasses were gone. Another member of staff explained to me that that had been the last pair (in all stores), and the factory no longer produces that model. I was gutted.To be honest, I really don't understand why I was told the glasses were in stock when they clearly weren't. It would have taken 2 minutes to check on the computer, and if I had been told it was the last pair, I would have bought them there and then. It just feels like I was given a generic answer of yes

Wife and I looking for new specs, looking around the store and trying some on, the male assistant walked straight past us to 2 girls who had just walked in the store and asked them if he could help them. Won't go back to be ignored

Boutique optometrist with great range of frames. Their frames are stylish and reasonable priced. Their optometrist are professional and friendly. The only down side is parking.
