Great value cafe. Right in the centre of town. I had a lite breakfast for $14 . It was very generous with a thick piece of salmon. We are looking the street in the sun and watched Te Awamutu go by. Friendly ,competent staff. Go there ...

Rude, ignorant woman! I walked in at 1.45 only to be told “we are closing, you can get takeaway” , I queried as the shop actually closed at 2.00. I had coffee and panini and the staff proceeded to clean around me, I left before 2.00 to have the door slammed behind me. No idea of customer service or basic courtesy!

Thank you for being open yesterday, when many other cafes in Te Awamutu were closed. Delicious coffee and delightful service - loved the airy and spacious layout of the cafe too. Just wondering if you advocate the use of vaccine passes??

Went for Breakfast. Was very pleased to see lots of choices. I had the kumara rosti with bacon and mushrooms. My husband had the mushrooms on toast. Drinks were good. Place was clean. Hubby would personally prefer fancier bread for his toast. If they wanted any hints I'd change the light shades and add some more plants.great spot and nice service. I'd definitely go back.

Service is terrible, the lady behind the counter today was arrogant and very rude. the food is out in the open with bugs all over the shop, it is not a clean establishment by any means. I will never be back.

On our way to Feilding, thought we would stop here. Ordered coffees, a scone and a muffin. Noticed they were not covered and there were flies all over the food. Asked why food wasn't covered. Told that covering makes scones and muffins go soft. Cancelled the food and ordered takeaway coffees. The person serving us just did not care. In fact she was quite rude. Coffee ok though!

This is the third time we've stopped for brunch at Gillz, when heading to Taranaki, and have always found service and food excellent. Normally have the eggs bene, which is beautiful, but they have a large range of great looking food in cabinet.Staff are welcoming & friendly and cafe is clean, bright and sunny.Look forward to seeing you again on our next trip through.

Eggs Benedict and Mochaccino were awesome, went back the next day to see if they were still awesome and they were ; ) might have to come sometime and test againStaff are friendly and attentive
