High Country Salmon – High Country Salmon Ltd | The freshest salmon from glacier to plate! We are a boutique salmon farm in the pristine waters of New Zealand's hydro canals. We grow, process and sell our glacial mountain salmon onsite just south of Twizel in the Mackenzie District. We have a floating cafe and salmon shop, or you can order online.

Has a great range of salmon products at reasonable prices. The hot smoked salmon are the best.Outside the cafe, kids (and adults as well) can grab some fish food to feed the salmon.

Pinkest juiciest salmon I’ve tasted. This salmon farm has a cafe, fresh frozen salmon shop and also viewing platforms to the farm where you can feed the fish for a donation. Had some sushi, took away some bellies for dinner and fed some fish. Very clean amenities and warm water taps was a plus for me. Wholesome stopover in my books.

This is a fresh water Salmon farm on the way from omarama to lake tekapo there is a restaurant and a shop selling salmon related products use to be very crowded as it is a famous tourist destination suggest to go early before foods are sold out sashimi is fresh and smoked salmon is good also remember to order their flat white

Prices are very reasonable compared to the Australian market where I'm from, great place to stock up on sashimi grade salmon ! The free feeds are good for the kids to see where this stuff comes from too. Beautiful little spot oh and the coffees are great too !

A nice spot to stop on the way to and from Mt Cook. Delicious fresh salmon sushi and other café options as well as fish shop to buy and take home to cook. Also great free novelty of feeding the salmon. If you're also keen you can catch a live salmon. Overall good fun.

This is a salmon farm . You can pay and fish here or have breakfast / lunch at the simple cafe . They only have limited items. We arrived at 1 pm, already many items of food have been sold out. They also have a shop for frozen salmon , smoke salmon and other seafood items. Good for a visit, especially after a long drive.I think there are more rooms for improvement.

Wonderful Salmon available in a variety of preparations. Cured, smoked, frozen and other options too. The staff is friendly, the store is well organized. Reasonable prices and some of the most delicious smoked salmon we have eaten. You can also view the farm area just through the cafe when open. The cafe has good meal selections as well. Wish I could get this at home!

Food was decent but service could be better at the cafe side. The rice ball was served cold, we had to ask them to microwave it. The ducks made up for it as they were very cute and inquisitive.Jenny on the Fish Shop side was more friendly and welcoming. And great to knowing her!

Surprisingly entertaining visit, feed the salmon as much as you want, there's an honesty box next to the food to help out.Food looked amazing just don't tell the salmon right outside the kitchen.
