The Photo One Richmond team recently help with a gift idea making up and printing / framing a photo college, the team went to extra mile to make it really special, even happy to make last minute changes to meet our needs - we are thrilled with the large framed collage of pictures. Well done team!

Oh, I'm very suspicious about that last review from whoever JJ Erent is. I am a regular customer at Photo1. I have never had anything but excellent and courteous service from Ian and Ginny. There is a good reason why they are the last real photo place in Nelson.I suspect a fake review troll" at work here

Went to have a passport photo taken. The picture came out a bit blurry and not even showing the proper requirements of a passport photo standard. Went to Jenny who seemed to run the place and told her what I think. She does not seem interested and did not even bother to show good customer service. Perhaps because I am a person of different ethnicity. What a joke! Threw the photos away and got a better one instead at Harvey Norman. What a waste of money and time.

Friendly, helpful service. Was able to set up the technical stuff without being made to feel like an idiot. Much appreciated.

Went in for passport photos for New Zealand and America. I was told I couldn't smile for the American one, well, that's not true, I looked it up and it can be a neutral smile, I knew New Zealand didn't allow smiles. The photos make me look like I am standing on an uneven platform, one shoulder higher than the other and I was told I had to move my hair off my face, well, it wasn't on my face, just a wee bit of fringe which didn't alter the way I look at all. I am not happy at all with the photo, I am going to go to another place and have them retaken.

Disappointed with the service I received today at Photo One. The lady who served me was extremely rude with how she talked to me and seemed very stressed and kept abruptly interrupting me! She proceeded to slam down the back of my film camera with her hand as I was holding it telling me I had now ruined my film even though I had asked to be shown how to put the film into my camera when I purchased the film from the store on a previous occasion which at the time I was told they were too busy to help show me how to do it. This is my first time owning and using a film camera so the lack of help and then to tell me I had ruined the film in such a manner was extremely disappointing and very rude service! Being kind and patient with paying customers goes a long way for your business and if you are under pressure and busy with other jobs and customers, then perhaps asking customers to come back later in the day at a quieter time when you can then give better customer service would be something to consider

Great service, a couple of issues scanning some slides however staff went above and beyond to pick up my slides, sort issue and deliver them back to me.... recommend......

Excellent customer service. I requested a photo to be printed and framed for a relative living in NZ. Great quality print and frame, good value for money, efficient and attentive communications throughout. Much preferred to using huge multinational company, this was indeed individual attention to detail. And complimentary gift wrap.

Went there to had pictures taken for a german passport, but wasn’t actually able to use them because the resolution wasn’t right and the background was too dark. I almost wasn’t able to get my passport because of that (which i had to go all the way to Christchurch for) and had to get new ones taken at a different place.

I have been in here multiple times in the past few months and i get served by the same lady, she is rude and has no customer service skill. she treats me like i am stupid. As for the Man and the other lady they are helpful and nice.
