Beautiful views from the Holiday park at the top of the hill. Quiet, clean and tidy with great amenities.Unfortunately there were no water filling station to fill our motorhome (They had been locked due to locals pinching their water) and there are no dumping stations there (Just an FYI).But an excelent place to stop if you're in the area!

Beautiful spot for camping! The views over the Hokianga Harbour are gorgeous. The pool was lovely, the trampoline was a bonus, and all the facilities were very clean and tidy. The kitchen is small but really well equipped with pots & pans for campers to use. There’s not a lot in Rawene but the village is quaint and it’s only a short drive to Opononi to go sand boarding!

Skip it if you can!!! Manager is rude. Our original campground was closed(because of flooding),so we needed to find an other campground and decided to go to rawenes... The owner wanted to charge 9$ extra coz of our late arrival. He started to be rude, we decided to leave and he followed us to our car..shouted that he doesnt work for free. He recogonized that some guests were around, so he stopped to follow us. Such a stranger. Never had Problems with late arrivals or payments next day. Needed help and he only tried to make quick bucks. Such an awful behave!!!!we checked wikicamps and the reviews arent good eighter.

This is a good spot for a break from travelling..it has some nice camp sites amongst the trees overlooking the harbour. It is good value for money. However a few things let it down. Camping sites are not very flat. Toilets are in with the showers and there aren't enough of them. Also, no hand dryers. And the place is looking a little run down and could do with a spruce up.

Mens showers/toilets has seen its glory days. Stayed one night in campervan. The van sites are on a gravel/dirt area. Clean kitchen.

We had a great time at Rawene Holiday Park, a campground situated on a hilltop, surrounded by native bush and overlooking the Hokianga Harbour. Swam every day in the pool, which was clean and inviting! Our kids played on the playground with other children and had fun exploring the area. A highlight was when the staff lit the pizza oven fire and did toasted marshmallows for our kids. There was lots to do in Rawene, and around Hokianga... sand boarding at the Dunes a must , exploring the Wairere boulders and taking the ferry to Kohukohu. The holiday park staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were well maintained. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and fun holiday in Rawene.
