Don't want to be a drama queen about this, but MOH really needs to work with who they hire as assistants at all vaccination cites. Didn't have any issues with the two vaccination centres I visited for my first and second shots (Birkenhead and the temporary drive thru vaccination centre)the two sites were amazing. But when I followed my underaged sister as her guardian to the Albany vaccination centre, complete different story. The staff welcoming guests first doesn't know how to speak English. Don't want to be racist or anything, but I explained to her I refuse to change my mask to a dental mask as I do not feel safe and protected wearing a dental mask. I was wearing KF-94 (much much more efficient according to various studies around the world). She didn't understand a word I was saying, and continued actually more like forced me to change my mask if not she won't let me in. I POLITELY asked her if I can then wear my KF-94 under the dental mask, so dental mask on top of my KF-94, she said NO.I was forced to change my mask to an unsafe dental mask, and entered the building. I saw two Chinese ladies (I think the welcoming staff lady was also Chinese) I saw these people enter the building without changing their mask. Then saw more Chinese people enter the building allowed to wear multiple masks at the same time.Seriously what is wrong with this lady. This isn't China. Obviously reported this experience to the vaccine centre service line. People need to be much more educated and if you are or are not a medical staff, it's always nice to have a bit of common information in your head.Besides this lady, there was a Korean nurse staff at the 15 min waiting zone, she was really nice and friendly of explaining to me the side-effects of the vaccine could include young women temporarily not getting their period of a few months. She was much more educated than the doctor there and much more helpful.Anyways, in general not the best experience, would rather recommend to visit a different vaccination site just because you'd not want to meet that welcome staff and ruin the entire experience.
