The Kitchen Table Cafe & Bake
I've been waiting for a visit to here for three years. I love the high ceiling and the large windows. You can find so many cosy spaces within this cafe. The staff are friendly and the coffee is good. Pretty close to the city centre, it's good to take some time and have a breakfast here.

Coffee and tea excellent. Possibly the worst, driest, almost stale cheese scone we have ever had. Add to that - what can only be described as surly - service and that's where 2 stars come from.A shame because it looked great, had a good feel, but in summary the worst service and food we have experienced in NZ. Perhaps because we weren't locals, as we did see the server being sweetness and light to 'regulars', who were warmly greeted.Sorry that our tourist dollar obviously wasn't worth the effort!Left us disappointed.

very nice cafe with a good vibe. I had a yummy bacon muffin and green tea, which is made with loose leaves, not tea bags. 2 thumbs up!

After reading great comments, I was really looking forward to dining here. The staff were friendly and the food looked amazing.We waited 20 minutes for our coffee, that was mildly warm, the food took another 20. They weren't overly busy. Kids meals were tiny in comparison for the price I paid. Are there new staff? The counter staff were constantly asking the chef questions. Unfortunately we won't be back.

The food is good, the coffee tasted alright, but presentation side can have some improvement.Friendly staff and good customer service.Don’t part at the back, stress parking only.

Ordered the Bagel with cream cheese and jam and it was delicious! I can't stop thinking about it! Also a citrus slice which was very nice and a caramel latte which was fineCame back again, got the bagel, friend got the big breakfast. Good poached eggs and good portions, a lot of bacon! Very friendly staff and delicious looking bread

Hands down my favourite coffee/brunch spot in NZ! I keep dreaming about their brownie everyday! I can't wait to go back. Excellent coffee, excellent food and great music taste ☺️

Very nice personnel. I have an autoimmune condition and they were very flexible: I could order just a selection of extras on a plate. Great gluten free and vegan options.

Decent prices for Massive portions. All bread made in house. Focaccia was herby and delicious. Cabinet slices looked impressive too.
