Wairurahiri Wilderness Jet

Unlike the Queenstown Jetboat experience, this ride is the real thing--across a beautiful lake and down the Wairaurahiri River to the sea. It's breathtaking, exciting, and just plain gorgeous. Johan is an excellent guide and cooks you a delicious lunch at the the lodge near the sea. We spent the night and came back the next day, or you can go down and back in one trip. There are opportunities to walk by the ocean and cross a swing bridge, or you can take it easy and just enjoy the scenery. You will learn about the history of the area and what's being done to save the native birds from imported predators. Bring a warm hat as your ears might get cold--the boat goes fast!! Reserve a spot early, and aim to do the trip before late March when there might not be enough water in the river to do the trip at all.

Have just done this trip with Roffy. An amazing trip, exciting but felt safe, with a thoroughly professional jet boat driver. Wonderful scenery and will be recommending this trip to anyone and everyone. The lunch provided was superb. Thanks so much.

Best jet boat ride in nz

Our work Social Club had an amazing day jet boating Lake Hauroko and the Wairurahiri River, and were treated to top notch bbq lunch at Waitutu Lodge ! Thanks for a brilliant day Roffy - we are still talking about what a fun day we all had !!

Fantastic day out yesterday. Great helicopter ride into the Waitutu Hut. Roffy cooked a gormet bbq lunch with all the trimmings. Then ....... the best adventure of all the JETBOAT ride. Thrill seeking and exhilarating with the most beautiful views. Thanks Roffy it was certainly a day ill never forget.Cheers!

Thanks Roffy for our choreographed joy on the Wairurahiri in October. The whole day outing was memorable and we all would like to thank you for the all the effort you contributed to our special holiday.
