Amazing, serene... so hospitable. If you want to escape from the chaos and hide away in a spot away from the rest of the world then check in here. Amazing hosts, clean rooms, really comfortable beds, loads of space with good amenities. I stayed here with my 4 children and we all absolutely loved it. Short drive to gorgeous beaches.

It was so nice to wake up here for a couple of days. So different to where the typical traveller would usually stay. Hosts were great and insightful on local attractions and so much more! Not your standard hosts for sure! We stayed here with our young baby and wasn't entirely appropriate but we managed fine.

After our arrival to hokianga we were looking for last minute accommodation and cara been the matariki weekend everything was booked out.. So we found this as it was the most amazing place our caravan was warm and cosy we were giving hot water bottles and towels and extra blankets as we had 2 children with us..the host were so friendly caring and couldn't do enough for us. In the morning the view was incredible.. We will differnately be going back here. The greatest experience.Thank you so much

A smashing place. Lovely people. A fabulous welcome, and wonderful views. The accomodation is clean and well cared for, and the shared kitchen is well stocked with utensils. My only quibble would be the position of some of the reading lights, but that's minor.

Lovely owners, gorgeous view, very good facilities. We stayed in our van (16$pp) with both kitchen and toilets available right next to us, and gladly took the chance for a laundry (4$). Recommended!

Lovely view.We stayed in a paddock with no facilities which is fine as we are self contained but felt $20 expensive and not the easiest place to get to with a van.Up a steep hill

Stunning views from where we pitched our tent. Facilities were basic yet was what we needed and expected based on shared accommodation, so served its purpose. Not the friendliest welcome on arrival, seemed a bit lacklustre, so it made th check-in process unwelcoming. Not even a thank-you" after taking payment. We had more meaningful conversations with other guest at this place so they made our stay!All-in-all

This gorgeous farm plot boast an incredible view of the valley. It has a small but tidy bathroom and kitchen ideal for solo travelers.

Stayed here with husband and 3 young children. Was booked elsewhere but that owner was horrible so information centre suggested this Farmstay. Was great. Nice and high up the mountain, no noise or traffic, peaceful. Everything you need. Perfect functioning kitchen, tidy clean bathrooms. Comfy beds and clean linen.lovely hosts. I recommend this place for all, travellers, couples, families.

Great little gem of a hostel tucked away on the side of a hill up an old gravel road. This place was perfect for a country boy like myself. Had the kids in tow no tv no wifi perfect spot to get away. Old mates building some lovely cabins on site as well we stayed in room1 next to the kitchen there's a small lounge with a big long table the kids played in the lounge while I talked to other guests drinking my wine had a blast! Meet the old boy owner as well chatted about motorbikes and the life he lived we definitely coming back!!! A must see for some real grounding of the soul.
