Longhurst Ultrasound

The ultrasound is run by a Ultrasound technician who is doing this for 48 years. My wife went for a 3rd anatomy scan, and an amazing guy who explained us all the details. The scan was not rushed and was done at best way possible. We really appreciated the scan done by the technician. Highly recommended place to go to.

Had such a great experience here getting our anatomy scan. Ultrasound tech was amazing, super knowledgeable, explained things in detail and was calm and reassuring with a good sense of humour. You could tell he really loved his job which made it a more special experience for us this time than previous scans at other providers. Got to take away some good quality images, our baby’s gender and a USB recording (extra optional cost) of the scan all wrapped up nicely in an envelope to enjoy. We’ll definitely be using Longhurst for any future scans, best in town and worth the wee drive to Halswell for the excellent service.

I received a phone call to book my 8 week daughter in for an ultrasound on her hips the day my GP sent the referral through, such efficient service. The team there were highly professional and so friendly putting both myself and my baby at ease immediately and we were very well looked after and informed throughout the whole process.I would highly recommend them for any ultrasound on a baby.

It have been at Longhurst Ultrasound 2 times for baby scans and both times have been an amazing experience. Everyone is friendly and kind. Highly recommend them!

Paul and Michelle are amazing and always go above and beyond and very informative during our ultrasounds for both babies. Receptionist staff are very friendly, and always answer the phone quickly. I was able to take my 4year old girl with me and she loved it.

Highly recommend Longhurst ultrasound!Amazing friendly staff and highly experienced ultrasound tech.He was so informative and the little extra things like warm gel and a warm towel to clean it up with at the end make for a wonderful experience. We had our early Gender scan yesterday with the lovely Michelle, and I don’t have a single negative thing to say.She was friendly, sweet, kind and so easy to connect with, the conversation flowed so easily. She has an amazing bedside manner, and seems to genuinely care about her patients.My partner and I specifically asked her if she could write our little ones gender down for us, so that we could take it away and have our special moment alone reading it. And she was so amazing and accomodating, she never slipped about gender once while talking to us about what she saw, not only was Michelle professional but she was caring and gentle too.She asked us if we had chosen names yet, and if we had a feeling about what the gender could be, we all laughed about the funny things baby was doing, and as first time parents she definitely made our special moment a million times more special, she made us both feel so comfortable and at ease and made it more personal and gave a homely environment.I feel like she goes above and beyond to make that moment special for parents, its not a quick “get in, scan and get out” Michelle actually takes the time to talk to you about what you are looking at on the screen, answer any questions you have and also explain things to you.The overall experience was so completely worth it. She is so welcoming, and easy to talk to, and I would 150% recommended going here for an ultrasound, and hope to come back in the future myself.

Wonderful! They answer the phone promptly, booking is easy, the sonographers are great, and our obstetrician raves about them! They are happy to have small children in the room whereas Pacific Radiology refuse no matter what. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Had a growth scan today. Receptionist and sonographer both lovely. Have had all my scans at Pacific Radiology so far. They were pretty good but I'd come back to Longhurst over PR.
