Waiheke Island Resort

We had the most wonderful stay here for our short getaway. It’s a beautiful, spacious, garden-like place with stunning views of the ocean. The room was clean and cozy. The food was exquisite. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to the ladies - they were awesome! Let alone that it’s conveniently situated literally within one minute walk from the bus-stops both to and from the ferry terminal. A strong recommend and a must-go if you are planning visiting Waiheke.

Spectacular views, comfortable accommodation, and conference room facilities. Perched up on the hill, the resort flows down the hill, with various bungalow-type rooms. The pathways can be steep, so no high heels! :) The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The pool is perfect for kids or for having a cocktail at sunset. If you’re looking for a place for a weekend getaway or a business offsite, this is perfect.

I wasn’t very impressed at all by our stay at the resort. Several things - ants in our room, no room service at all, and below average service staff. Continental breakfast on Saturday - cereals were stale. Breakfast on Sunday - no continental breakfast option available - so we had to pay extra for some toast! Loads of stairs to get anywhere as we were staying at the bottom. People - be aware if you have people with reduced mobility don’t stay here. The surrounding setting was beautiful and the beds comfortable. Mums room had an iron, but no ironing board. And the tv situation annoying - you could only cast from your phone to get Netflix or anything- however we couldn’t get this working on our phone. Manager came to help but couldn’t figure it out. Staff also rude to us when we had parked in the wrong spot. Sat in her car and tooted her horn until we came out…..the staff - English is a second language for most of them and at times difficult to communicate with. Also - at the pool there were teenagers doing bombs and wetting many of those sitting around poolside. I went and asked if they could please ask them to stop and the man behind the bar couldn’t understand us. We left the pool area …. Cleanliness not up to standards. Hair in showers when we arrived.

Loved our stay, bar staff were great, cocktails A+. Steak I would go back for better than in town. Pricey, but it's a holiday. Should place families with children on downstairs stairs units as you hear every step when kids wake early and run around as kids do. Views are worth the stay. Rooms are big.

Overall, we were disappointed with our stay and it was incredibly overpriced. We booked a 2 bedroom, sea view villa but the premium view was obscured by trees so couldn't see anything.The in-room amenities were sub-par for a resort". Instant coffee

The two-bedroom room we had for family of 4 was very tired(needed redecorating) it had mould in the shower and had a broken dishwasher. Not ideal for a family weekend.The one bedroom was more recently renovated and everything was in working order.The views and balcony were lovely but the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbours next door and above us. Not ideal for sleep or privacy.

Pretty poor on a Wednesday night at 8.00pm to trudge up the steep drive to find a young girl eating dinner to be told the kitchen was closed. The bar person was no better either.NZ you have a lot to learn re customer service. If you are closed, advertise the fact on social media.I would not recommend this place at all

Great place with delicious cocktails too. Lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful.

1st time here. Food was great, fantastic views, lovely spot. Didnt stay but Yes would go again

The room was decent and spacious, however don’t expect the swimming pool or the spa will be nice. I was quite disgusted by how dirty the pool was. And jacuzzi had a lot of hair, so got out of there pretty soon after we got in.
