Apex Car Rentals Wellington Airport

I rented a Toyota Corolla Hatchback for just 1 night, 28 hrs to be precise and that cost me $90ish including insurance.....my previous experience with Apex was good, but this one although the the car was good, the price hurt...

I cannot praise APEX enough, I originally made a booking with Mode car rentals and 1. Was given poor directions 2. Received disgusting customer service where they said find your own way here, 3 left stranded in the rain in the middle of nowhere when they did come and get us and took us to their depot. We made 1 call to Apex rental, spoke to Stephen/ Steven who arranged pick up for us, a vehicle and had us in our way within minutes. The kindness and professionalism from Apex car company had me beyond appreciative and feeling a little less stressed. I will only deal with Apex from now on. Thank you soo soo much again

Arrived after a flight and was going through the paperwork with the lady at the counter when I saw the line $2000 fee payable in an accident regardless of fault with insurance I asked for clarification on this by using an example of someone in a car talking on a cellphone going up the back of me would I still have to pay this and she said yes - I said what about when they admit fault and you claim through their insurance do I get my money back and was told no..when I questioned it I was told that she wouldn't be arguing with me and cut offI ended up paying another $23 a day for 5 days to have a $0 excess as it seemed ridiculous to risk $2000 even when not at fault, but the whole thing didn't seem rightIt's probably hidden in their terms and conditions,  but they don't disclose it to you until they have picked you up in the shuttle and taken you back to their depot.I will say it was a nice modern car and I was happy with everything else - I feel they could be alot more transparent and upfront about this policy

Charged $250 cleaning fee for smoking in the car when I’m not even a smoker. Didn’t send the bill through until 3 days after we left the car at some garage away from the airport. Was fine and even cleaned it before we left the car. Wasn’t us, but didn’t care, just wanted the money. Ridiculous. Would never use again

Very easy location, polite and streamline staff. The petrol station is right across the road for refuelling on drop off, and it’s a short walk from the airport, it would be a safe walk with bags.A new car in good conditionOnly negative is the car was not washed on pickup, dirty from a decent drive on a dirt road. But it was a busy period and I was grateful to get a car

Used Welly Airport branch a half dozen times now. Always uber fast and efficient. Never any delays with airport transfers. Great service. Weirdly wouldn't allow me to pay with business credit card for security reasons, despite wearing work uniform and all my luggage with work labels. I still give them 5 stars though for speed and efficiency. Keep up the awesome work.
