The staff and food is amazing, next time I'm on holiday that will be my first choice. Their price I very reasonable on their drinks and food. Compare to the rest.

Great selection of beers on tap and bottlesThe food is excellent with a good selection of menus.Pool tables , sports on multiple screens with a big screen.The locals are friendly nice and funny especially Terry.

Service was great and staff were so friendly especially to my 4 year old daughter. The place looks great and is clean. The food was fantastic and everything is very reasonably priced.

Every Melbourne Cup we visit here to have a flutter...fabulous atmosphere.. helpful regular punters...great chippies and a win$230 on kiwi horse!!

Online menu is completely outdated. Food was overall very nice although the thai cashew duck was way too sweet and in another Thai dish the pork was chewy.Warning - if you like to converse at all when you're out for dinner...avoid a night here with live music and beware they may start practicing very early. Lovely staff but huge letdown was that the doors between the smoking/non-smoking areas were open which ruined it for us - as non-smokers who were trying to eat our meals when cigarette smoke is wafting in - it was pretty disgusting.

I'm an outer towner visiting and had to watch the warriors. Great staff, good people to mix and mingle with. Good flow inside the complex. Food looked good too. Recommend

We are professional touring musicians from Canada who had a confirmed gig at the Whangamata Sports Bar on November 23rd). We have confirmation for the gig in writing from Darryls personal email. Long story short he decided to cancel the gig 2 days before we were supposed to play (after we already flew to NZ) without any apology, sympathy, or compensation. He had an ample amount of time to tell us the gig wasn't happening anymore so we could book something else for that day, but he chose to let us know a couple days before. When I book a hotel I don't need to call the hotel every minute on the hour to make sure I still have a room when I show up... no honourable business works that way. This place knows nothing about accountability, reliability, and reputation. I would avoid playing music at this place and avoid Darryl at all costs when doing any sort of business. He has proven to be unreliable and the kind of person who passes the blame onto others without taking ownership for his own and or/his employees mistakes and actions. Very disappointed by how he handled things.
