Ellerslie Medical Centre

Sorry to say that I believe Norman is letting the team down. My elderly family member has had two life-threatening medical events and multiple hospital admissions under his care in only the last two years. He seems (at least to us) unwilling to be hands-on or assertive.

This is such a well run medical centre where all staff work extremely hard and are so genuinely caring. Felicity on the front desk is always calm and helpful (under much pressure). Thank you to all the team.

Exceptional medical care. Every doctor here is lovely. The patient portal is so handy and easy to use.

Dr Andrea and her team are exceptionally kind and caring.

I’ll start by saying that all doctors and nurses that I have been in consultation with at this centre are amazing, but I was really let down today. I have been a patient for nearly 3 years now and this morning l called to make an appointment only to be informed very rudely by the receptionist that I’m not in the list of patients anymore, because my previous visa has expired and I didn’t provide my current one. I then offered to send it straight away, but she informed me that now I’ll have to make a new enrolment and it can take up to 10 working days for it to be processed. I was caught completely out of guard, as I didn’t know I was supposed to send that document and I never received any notification saying that my enrolment would be canceled. The lady confirmed she never sent a reminder or anything, because it’s my obligation to remember to provide the document, not hers. I was left speechless.

The receptionists are just rude :/ just spoils the experience when you’re wanting to book an appointment, or talk to a nurse, especially when you’re unwell!!

I first found Dr Andrea during a very difficult time when I had a miscarriage and every GP that looked after me was rude and inconsiderate.Dr Andrea on the other hand took time to listen and I felt truly assisted. Every time we call we can’t believe how rude the receptionist is! We’ve been going to this clinic for years and still get treated so poorly! The receptionist won’t listen, keeps talking over you rudely and the only way of getting an information from the previous visit is to rebook another visit with the doctor and spend more money. We don’t like writing bad reviews but we are so upset with this!!

I’ve been a patient of this centre for years and have recently had some wonderful service from Felicity the receptionist on the front desk. Thanks Felicity for your kind demeanour. Honourable mention to Dr Ruth Bannister who was wonderful with my eldest child recently. My favourite GP, Dr Paul Norton has been a great help to the family as well over several years. Keep up the great work team.

Absolutely love Ellerslie Medical Centre, all of the Doctors and staff here have always been incredibly helpful and go above and beyond. Especially right now as they battle huge COVID numbers, they make such a huge effort to see and talk to their patients and provide ongoing support. We are soon moving out of the area and will be really sad to not have Ellerslie Medical as our go-to anymore. All the very best to all the staff there, we appreciate you!
