SPCA's Taupo Centre at Centennial Drive was opened in 2010 and takes care of animals in need throughout the Taupo district 365 days a year. Annually, over 700 animals come through our doors and last year our Taupo animal welfare inspector investigated over 180 animal cruelty complaints in Taupo, Turangi and Tokoroa.

SPCA Levin Centre
The worker (sorry I forgot your name! Maybe Amy? Eek! Had an accent anyway…) was lovely from the phone call to actually coming in and showing me around. I adopted Jasper (who has now been renamed Kevin) and he’s doing really well. Settled in well, definitely not shy, and loves cuddles. He’s a great edition to the home. Thank you!

Cornwall park bird rescue
Our son is very happy that the bird he rescued could be looked after. We took the injured sparrow to Jody tonight. We are very thankful for her care and kindness.Great service and they are very special people who offer this wonderful recovery for birds. Been open after hours was very helpful - 24/7 - Thank you!!!
