It took 3 days to go from application to bringing a new member of the family home. They were really friendly and helpful.They are quite strict on having adequate fencing and often requiring someoneone with a lot of time. Having a dog/puppy is no easy task, I can see why a lot of people can't handle it and return their animals. I've felt overwhelmed at times, but I'm learning how to deal with her and have a lot of patience - in return she's learning before my eyes.

Very happy with the response to my call, regarding a possible neglect situation. The SPCA acted quickly, and sorted the issue. (A lovely wee dog that was being looked after by a neighbor)Pleased that the SPCA rung me, and informed me of the outcome.

I don't often write reviews, but I felt obliged to after our fantastic experience with the Wellington SPCA centre. The care, love and affection that they shower these animals with is unmatched, especially considering the amount of resources they have available to them. They really worked with us to find our perfect cat. I can't speak highly enough of the outstanding work that these amazing humans do.

This is a great place to volunteer & make a difference for animals in need. The SPCA does an amazing job finding the right homes for these animals and caring for them until they do. Please consider donating your time and/or money and definitely adopt if you’re looking for a dog or cat to join your family! There are always a bunch of adorable & lovable rescue dogs available.
