Beautiful kahikatea grove. Basic amenities, toilets and nothing else. Plenty of space with big open grass paddock and small stream.

A great place to see some very tall Kauri trees next to a large paddock with lots of space to camp and play cricket in the summer

A beautiful $8pp DOC camp, park on the grass.. Beautiful stand of native timber and an easy perimeter walk. Rode bikes 12km out the (nearly) the highway, first 7 km quiet but Westbank Rd gets a bit of heavy traffic.

A beautiful and very large, open, camping spot with plenty of walks and mountain biking opportunity nearby. Very unusual for a spot like this to have powered sites so a real bonus if you need to power up after being off grid.
