Cute place and super lovely staff, but no iced drinks so I bought a $7 milkshake expecting a glass, maybe whipped cream. Instead got a $2-3 takeaways milkshake, same cheap syrup, same paper cup & plastic lid. Tasted artificial so I binned it. Food was extremely average for the price & the whipped cream on my meal was from a pre-whip can and dissolved immediately once it hit the food. Put more effort & quality ingredients into your food if you expect customers to pay cafe price, it's very misleading.

I had requested a latte made with almond milk, and when she rung up our order forgot to charge for almond milk. She apologized, corrected the order and we paid. I then watched the barista go to the back room to get two new jugs of standard milk, and proceed to make a latte using one of them… I assumed it might not have been mine.When finished she pops it in a takeaway cup, and looks to me and says “here you are”. I asked if it was almond milk, to which she said “yes”. A couple of sips confirmed it was not almond milk.Edit after reply: I appreciate your response, and thank you for replying. I’m not looking for a refund.

Will definately go back when passing thru again 'mini ringer bene' was just right, did fancy a sweet but nxt time for sure. Very appetizing menu and cabinet food looked fresh and delish

We had lunch here after a day trip from Carterton.The food was lovely.The young guy and girl that served us were absolutely lovely and got our order just right.Hubby said it's the best big breakfast " he's had for ages.Thanks guys."

Nice little diner. Middle of Dannevirke. Great sheep shearing theme. Fantastic service! Food a bit disappointing. When you advertise a big breakie, make it a big breakie! Good big sausages bacon heaps of eggs

The eggs benne was amazing! Staff super friendly, they even gave us a complimentary milkshake as it was just after Xmas and they had leftover.Highly recommend stopping for this place if you're on your way to of from HB.

Fab little cafe. Service is spot on. I was acknowledged straight away.Great setting for sit down meals. Coffee delicious and savoury muffin I had full of ham and cheese...loads of butter and heated. Yum yum.
