HEPING RESTAURANT
Food tastes ok but everything is drenched in excessive amount of oil. However, waitresses and cooks are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean but lacks ambience.

Had the beef noodles for dinner. They were tasty but a bit too salty for me. I suspect they used too much MSG, as I was dry through the night. Otherwise not bad, with a better beef meal than at Chopsticks 101, nearby, who used beef that had gone off. Better to eat at Heping Restaurant by far. Thank you.

We regularly have Heping takeaways. The quality of the food is always very good and good value for money. Wish they would bring back their Chinese crispy skin chicken as we’re not a fan of what they’ve replaced it with.

Located in the old Sampan building, the meals we got for dinner was delicious. I was really satisfied and would happily go back here when I'm back in Dunedin! Really enjoyed the chicken fried rice and the satay supreme.

I had the korean fried chicken which tasted great, rice is quite bland but ok. Portion is big.Staff and cook are very nice.

We were craving for Chinese food and chance upon this Chinese Restaurant. The outlook of the restaurant is so so but the smell of the food had attracted my family and I into the restaurant. We decided to give it a try and indeed, the food is superb. We have made the right choice. The chef cum owner of the restaurant is originated from China, Guandong. Very friendly person. If you are craving for spicy food, this is definitely the restaurant you must visit.
