Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park

It was a lovely park with clean facilities. Each campsite is separated by bushes, which helps with privacy. The campsites are relatively large, so plenty of space for your family. They have unisex showers as well as a couple of showers in the toilets that were separated by gender. Big kitchen with plenty of hobs and cooking space as well as outside bbq’s.The woman in reception were lovely and very helpful.They have a board outside that says when the tide would be out and the exact time to go to the hot springs. You can rent a spade there or get one free with being a member.As the village is quiet and small, they had a small shop in at reception which is good for convenience but can be quite pricey.They Had a park for the kids to play on as well as fun bikes.Showers only lasted 5 minutes hot before timing out. That’s fine as you can press the button again. The only annoying thing about this was that it was outside of your shower, so you had to get out to press it and get back in.Overall a good experience.

Beautiful, peaceful, clean park. Surrounded by trees & native birds, it's really quite idyllic. Lots of space for kids to run & play. The facilities are well equipped & clean. It's a lovely park.Staff are friendly & helpful.There isn't much to do around the park (unless you go for a drive) except hot water beach - which isn't ideal for swimming, a swimming pool would be a massive asset for this park, particularly for the kids. We found the playground also more suited to young children, still our kids had plenty to do.The only downside for us was our park neighbor who blasted gangster rap music all day long & smoked endless amounts of weed.Other than that a good stay & would recommend.

We loved this campground. We stayed in the deluxe log cabin and it was incredibly well set up. It has everything you need. Is very comfortable and just a 10 minute walk from Hot Water beach!The facilities are fantastic. Everything you’d expect from a Top 10You can hire a shovel for the beach from them for cheap too!

We stayed here for a couple of days. First in a cabin and then we upgraded to a cabin with an ensuite. The cabins were nice and comfortable. Incredibly clean and had everything you need. The one with the ensuite was just bigger and had it's own BBQ.The staff are pleasant and helpful. The shared facilities get cleaned every couple of hours. They are immaculate.This is an incredible place for families but also solo travellers. It's well located for the beach and close to the little town.Just a final word on the staff. We were struggling to get the BBQ to light. One of the staff saw this and came over to help. We got it to work but he said he would have it serviced in the morning. Guess what - They did the service. Great place. Stay here!

I can see why this is a top 10 spot. The staff here are suuper friendly and helpful which made the trip all the more enjoyable. We stayed in one of the ensuite villas - well stocked, clean and cozy. The grounds are well maintained too and it's nice having a wine on the porch with views of lush greenery before heading off for an adventure somewhere. We'll be back for sure and this time we'll bring a posse lol. Thanks for having us! ❤️

This last weekend was wet & windy. This beach is one of my happy places with wonderful memories from the years we had our own holiday home.The Villa's there are lovely enough privacy & a great place retreat or go exploring from. Always this to see & do!

Amazing park, best camp kitchen I have ever seen! Can rent shovels at reception and they have games like petanque and chess too. Bouncing pillow also very fun. The place is spotless! We won't be back unfortunately as we're travelling around NZ and not visiting the same place twice but would HIGHLY recommend! Thanks everyone!

One of the nicer holiday parks we stayed in. The cabins were charming. The shared amenities were clean. The location was great, just a short walk from the beach. Like all NZ campgrounds we stayed at, the camp sites would benefit from more space and privacy between them and a picnic table and fire pit for each camp site.

Had the most amazing stay in an ensuite villa last night. Was an awesome, affordable experience. Rooms are well equipped with everything you need. Nice little bbq on the deck which was great! 10mins walk to the hot water beach. Our hosts Sarah and Joy were so lovely and accommodating. Will definitely be back. Thank you all so much, best park we’ve ever stayed in.

My partner and I had such a beautiful time! The staff were fantastic, so friendly and informative. The villa we booked was very clean and tidy with everything we needed. We got so lucky with the weather which made our whole time there even more magical and serene. Highly recommend the pedal bikes, especially the 4 seater. It's easier than it looks maaaate. 10/10!!!
