Lovely hosts and nice and peaceful, fish to be had if you have a boat or kayak. If you need a shower however bring solar shower as only shower shed, no actual shower

This place is a little treasure, especially if you have an RV. The camp ground is closed due to inability to gain staff to operate it. The locals still welcomed us so we stayed the night. Here in the middle of winter and July school holidays 2023. Beach looks safe to swim in due to the large bay, children on kayaks, swimming and fishing.

A little piece of paradise. One of the best camp grounds I’ve stayed in with wonderful views out over the Kaipara Harbour. Very clean, tidy and helpful informative caretakers. Highly recommend if you like the quiet, laid back and serene atmosphere oozing out of this little camp site.

As one camper said, a jewel at the end of a gravel road". I couldn't agree more. Great spot! Camp hosts make you feel most welcome
