Lawn Road Retreat, 150 Lawn Road

We had a fabulous time at Lawn Road, the kids (all five of them) loved the pool deck and spa. They fed the chickens every morning and one of them even caught an egg as the chicken laid it - much to their delight.The house was beautiful, so well laid out and presented and it was so good for all nine of us to be able to spread out but still be close. We didn’t really leave except to pop out for extra supplies.The pizza oven was a hit and we pretty much lived in the outdoor space the whole time, even though it was mid-April. We'd definitely come again, Pen and her family were fantastic hosts.

We had a wonderful weekend away to celebrate my husband's birthday with friends. Loads of space and the perfect amount of rooms. Fun games to play, tennis court and table tennis. All set in a quiet country area. It was easy to get to places we wanted to go. Close to the bikeways. Pen was there to greet us and show us around and was an excellent hostess. I would highly recommend staying at the Lawn Road Retreat. All our friends loved our time there.

Two extended families were fortunate enough to spend a long weekend at Lawn Road Retreat recently, what an absolute pleasure it was with a great time had by all. All the facilities were fantastic even the large grassed area where a bit of touch rugby was played and some cricket, the tennis court also getting some use. Spending time by the open fire was also a treat in the evening, we even had a crack at the pizza oven with some success. The layout inside is also great, with privacy if needed. Penny is a wonderful host, catching up with her on the morning we were leaving to pass on our thanks for a wonderful and relaxing time. I would recommend this place to those who want to have a get-away with family and friends, in a wonderful setting, away from the hassle of city life.

What a wonderful experience we had here. we held our annual conference at Lawn Road and it was simply perfect. Enough space for everyone to relax when needed, great games on hand and a pleasure dealing with Penny. We'd love to come back!

Wow! What an amazing place to spend a few days. We had a large group of friends, all female but varying in ages, stay at the Lawn Road Retreat, and it was such a perfect venue. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space, the most amazing outdoor entertaining area, and the pool is a real plus. The Retreat is in a beautiful rural setting, the perfect place to celebrate a special event or just to have a peaceful weekend away. Penny, the lovely host, was extremely accommodating from the moment we started speaking. Thanks again for having us! I hope we will be back :)

We've stayed at Lawn Road twice now, once as an extended family group and recently as a group of 4 families. It's an amazing place to stay. So much space, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, beautifully appointed. The pool table was very popular when the weather turned rainy. Lots of tennis, rugby and soccer on the large lawn kept everyone busy and happy. Pen is a fabulous host. Can't wait to go back.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Lawn Road Retreat and can’t recommend it more highly. Penny and James are outstanding hosts and the property is amazing. There were 11 adults and 5 young children in our group and it worked brilliantly. Tennis court, pool, spa, pétanque, pizza oven, outdoor table tennis and more - so much to do, we didn’t need to leave the property at all! The house itself is stunning and extremely well appointed - we wished we were staying longer and will definitely be returning!

We had a fantastic stay at Lawn Road Retreat, it really suited our large group of 17, I highly recommend this place, luxury inside, and so much to enjoy, loved the new hot tub, playing tennis and good pool table, we enjoyed our evenings around the outside fire and having wood fired pizzas. Well equipped kitchen everything you need !

Went there with a bunch of family, and the house was fantastic. Tons of amazing things included, such as a pool and hot tub, tennis court, pizza oven and pool table. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and an incredibly well organised recycling system. Great place!
