NZ Post Shop Albany Central

Could not be given assurance that my package would be handled with care and that it wouldn't be their fault if it broke during freight. Was met with a shrug by the teller when I asked if it would be handled with care and if I could get assurance that it would be. Good to know that it's possible that my package could be dropped kicked by a worker and damaged during frieght and that I wasted my time asking for it to be handled with care. Expected better professionalism.

I've been sending out packages here due to my local post office being shut because of lockdown. Despite the long lines, staff are very sweet and quick to work. Sometimes there'll be 1 staff member at the counter though I can't blame them for that, alongside the vaccines taken on the side it must be busy as hell in there. Even when I purchase multiple bags and ship out a box, they get it all done in under a minute.

Terrible , trying to pay a bill or use EFTPOS there doesn't work more often then it does , always issue's, they usher Chinese people to jump the que with no explanation , small and cramp , rude staff , complaining about my phone bill being crampiled! How do I do this" yells the woman angryly while huffing and puffing

do not go here!!!needed to use a strip of tape to secure my package and was told it would be $1 for one small piece! i use to work at a post shop and we never charged people to use tape. went to look sharp and bought a whole packaging tape roll for $2. what a joke! owner is very money hungry to say the least - do better!

Sent 2 parcels to my home countryOne has been delivered after 4 weeks and the other one still in the middle of no where!!!And after call them every day holding line more than one hour to reach the operator I hear same lies , no answer!They say we email you the answer by the end of the day but again lies!NO apologies and just playing with customers!Just wondering what you guys getting pay for?LIES????

I use their service regularly, and I often have a good experience at this Albany branch. However, my Friday visit was a ridiculous event. I brought a small package to the counter and asked to borrow a sellotape to reseal the top of the box because I forgot to add a card inside. I genuinely thought it wouldn’t be a big deal to ask that such a thing. However, the guy at the counter said they would charge a dollar for that. I thought he misunderstood me that I wanted to buy, but no, it would be a dollar for a few cm of tape. Smh and walked out.

My experience today with Albany postshop is really interesting. I had the pleasure of meeting the customer service lady at the postshop, named Carolin(a). She started as very grumpy and angry. When I asked about the tracking stickers, she shouted that the postshop didn't have any, and I can complain if I want. When I took my mobile out of my purse, she snapped, snatched my mobile and started yelling. In an un-needed altercation, in an attempt to get my mobile back, she scratched my hands badly. She then shouted and threatened to call the police. Finally, she ran inside the warehouse to get security to remove me. All that and every one is watching in disbelief. So I was assaulted and left injured. I paid for my products and I left peacefully.What a good serviceKeep it up!!!

I previously posted a lengthy review to diffuse the negativity of the majority of the comments, but it seems to have disappeared. Those gremlins are everywhere. Recently the post shop was run by one woman, lovely, doing the best one woman can leading up to Christmas. The chemist was also run by one woman plus dispensing person. Run off their feet. I could feel the tension and their stress. Every time I visited I bought them a box of chocolates. The staff has now been increased, as well it needed. Nos gremlins stay away from my review.

Very poor customer service by a foreign lady staff on the weekend. No one else in line to be salty. Smiling is very important and do not talk AT the customer. Also 2 months ago came across another with similar accent but a male in his 50s - same attitude. I had hoped that after the first encounter I wont come across the same staff but she was worse. No good! Guess it's best to go to another post shop next time.

Sent a passport to the uk and was charged the most expensive price option ($105) without even mentioning that there was a cheaper option for half the price ($55). Lack of training or lack of integrity, not sure which, but either one isn’t great.
