Parakai Springs
We had a terrific family time enjoying the warm water slides and pools for several hours. Facilities are clean and service was polite and friendly. Definitely recommend it in winter holidays. It was not too busy either. No waiting on slides.(This is written in July 2023 visiting from Australia, some of the old feedback about the place is a bit unfair I think).

Parakai Springs
A bit disappointed. Got there at 7.30pm, and told that they close at 9pm, yet still had to pay full price. The hydro slide closed at 8, children were very disappointed. The place is getting fairly run down, mens toilet and showers are disgusting . The indoor pool and area should be closed down for a couple of months for a complete make over. The place is not value for money.

Parakai Springs
The place is looking very dated and in much need of a renovation. There are no seats in the indoor hot pool so lots of people were sitting on the steps impeding entry to the pool. As there are no seats in the pool and its all 1 depth it's hard to relax as you are always crouching if you want your shoulders under the water. With 2 slides and an open playing space its good for kids but it needs to do so much more for the adults. Left earlier than planed making the value for money pretty poor. With so many great hot springs around NZ its disappointing that this is the only one left near Auckland.

It was very dirty and the place is dated and part of the pools are falling apart.Very expensive for no maintenance. I strongly advise you to avoid this place if you like clean and relaxing places.People eating in the pool, things floating around, ground are disgusting.........

hydro slides were quite a rush but felt safe enough for our young boys to enjoy as well.Kids enjoyed the obstacle course and the kids corner. It was busy but there was not a long wait at all to go down the slides which I thought was pretty convenient. Life guards were visible and friendly. Entrance fees are well worth it considering you have full access to the slides both pools and the kids corner. Totally recommend this place to families with children for a fun filled day out.

I recently visited Parakai Hot Springs and actually thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was clean and the facilities have been well kept. The staff were so nice and really enjoyed listening to some Te Reo speaking staff. I really felt like I was in my homeland. I will definitely be back. Thank you

Hydro slide tower is rotten and falling apart, there are missing bolts and rusted supports (rusted to the point of broken off ) Very few lifeguards, and the ones that are there aren’t enforcing dangerous behaviour. Clearly no maintenance has happened in what looks like decades. If they cleaned this park up it would be great but right now it’s actually just dangerous.

Returned here after a long few years. Relaxation pools are full of people eating, playing music, with blow up unicorns, and jumping in the separate Relaxation pool .... no one respects the pool rules, not inforced either. Come if you have a family. Don't come if you want to relax in the Relaxation pool.
