Ocean Beach
Nice big sandy beach to the South of Cape Kidnappers on the East coast of the Hawkes Bay. Plenty of parking and plenty of beach access. The beach here is a much shallower gradient than the beaches along the coast near Napier and Hamouana which makes for safer and better swimming without the undertow.

Have been a local of this area and fond we always have a great day. Beach is clean and tidy. On and off lead areas for the dogs just ensure you read the sign. Toilet area is closer to lifegaurd shed and is ok. Right end of beach at low tide has rock pools so great to entertain the kiddys.

About a hours drive from Hastings, but worth it.Scenic views of vineyards and surrounding valley's. Well posted signs and directions to beach. When I arrived beach was full and every car space taken and some.So best to go early during these hot summer months.

Basically a nearly perfect beach day location for a picnic.No shower, bathroom, or shops that were obvious.Absolutely stunning beach, though. Lots of sand and beautiful cliff views. Definitely worth a visit.

Super awesome! A lovely day well spent just relaxing in the sun. Take in the cool ocean breeze. Enjoy the long walks and love that the beach is not over crowded

Huge expansive space, pretty quiet for the weekend, perhaps the cloudiness of the day kept people away. Really clean sand and water, no rubbish in sight! Nice for families and dog walking :)

Awesome beach! Can get super busy though and not much shade so if you want to park in the shade make sure you get there early, however it is possible someone will double park you. Went there a couple of times had good waves for boogeyboarding and bodysurfing.
